WHY THIS EXISTS
The directory I wish existed when I started learning about money.

Muntaseer Rahman
Hi. I'm Muntaseer. I built Netfigo.
A few years ago I started reading about investing. The internet had two speeds. Wikipedia entries that read like obituaries. Or finance Twitter, which is mostly people screaming numbers at each other.
I wanted something in the middle. A directory you could actually read. Where every profile told you who the person is, what they actually do with money, what they got right, what they got wrong, and whether you should care. No jargon walls. No hedge-everything-into-mush corporate prose. Just the truth, told well.
WHAT NETFIGO ACTUALLY IS
A people-and-company directory for the finance and startup world. Currently 557 investors and 557 companies, growing toward 1,000 of each. Hedge fund managers, VCs, angels, finance YouTubers, public-company CEOs, failed unicorns, sleeper success stories. If they move money or build a thing, they're fair game.
Every profile is hand-written, not scraped. There's no autoplaying video, no popup begging for your email on arrival, no SEO doorway content. The goal is simple. You land on a profile, you leave knowing something real.
THE NETFIGO VERDICT
Every profile opens with a verdict. Three to five short sentences with an actual point of view. Not “widely regarded as a thoughtful investor.” Something like, “Buffett got rich by being patient and cheap. The patient part is real. The cheap part is overstated. He bought Apple at a 12x P/E.”
Opinions can be wrong. That's the point. Hedging into mush is a worse sin than being occasionally wrong with conviction.
THE SCORE CARD
Every investor profile is scored across five dimensions on a 1–10 scale.
- Risk appetite — how much volatility they actually stomach
- Time horizon — day trader vs. generational
- Contrarian index — do they buy what everyone hates
- Track record consistency — wins vs. survivor bias
- Accessibility — can a normal person actually copy this
The scores aren't magic. They're an honest take based on the public record. Two people can read the same data and come to different numbers, and that's fine. The point is to give you a quick read before you dive in.
WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT
- Voice over volume. Profiles that sound like a person, not a press release.
- Failure given equal weight. The Graveyard section covers companies that died and what killed them. You learn more from Pets.com than from another Apple post.
- 13F tracking on real fund managers. Where applicable, the Investor Radar shows what hedge fund and family office managers are actually buying. Pulled from SEC EDGAR. No paywall.
- Compare anyone to anyone. Buffett vs. Cuban. Stripe vs. Klarna. Side-by-side, not a 30-tab research project.
THE TEAM
Mostly me. The site, the writing, the design, the database — all of it. I use AI to help draft and research, but every profile gets a human edit pass before it goes live. The voice is mine, the takes are mine, the mistakes are mine.
If you spot something wrong — a wrong number, a stale fund, an unfair characterization — I genuinely want to hear about it. There's a contact form for that.
