ISABEL DOS SANTOS

Born in 1973 in Baku, Azerbaijan (her mother was Russian). Her father, José Eduardo dos Santos, was president of Angola from 1979 to 2017 — one of the longest-serving heads of state in African history.

Educated in London. She began building a business empire in the 1990s as Angola emerged from decades of civil war.
