Our IPO was the most successful of 2019. The stock tripled on day one. For one moment, everyone believed plant-based meat was the future.

I grew up on a farm. I love animals. But I also love burgers. Beyond Meat exists so you do not have to choose.

Our stock is down 95% from the peak. That is painful. But Amazon was down 90% after the dot-com crash and look where it is now. Great companies survive bear markets.

We put the Beyond Burger in the meat aisle, not the health food section. If you want to change how people eat, you have to be where they already shop.

The hype cooled. The stock crashed. But the mission has not changed. Animal agriculture is still unsustainable and we are still building the alternative.

The question is not whether plant-based meat will succeed. It is how long it takes. I am betting my life that the answer is within my lifetime.
