Africa doesn't have a payments problem. It has a payments infrastructure problem. Every country has different banks, different regulations, different currencies. We unified all of it.

I worked at PayPal and realized they had zero interest in Africa. 1.4 billion people and nobody was building for them. So I went home and built it myself.

People said Africa wasn't ready for fintech. Africa was ready. The infrastructure wasn't. We built the infrastructure.

We became a $3 billion company from Lagos. Not San Francisco. Not London. Lagos. That matters for every African founder who thinks they need to leave to build something big.

Africa doesn't need charity. It needs connectivity, capital, and competent entrepreneurs. Give a village internet access and watch what happens — you don't need to tell them what to do with it.

The biggest risk is not investing in Africa. 1.4 billion people are going online, getting bank accounts, and building businesses — and most global investors are still looking the other way.
