Founded SkyBridge Capital in 2005, growing it to $3.5 billion in assets under management. Created the SALT Conference (SkyBridge Alternatives), one of the biggest hedge fund conferences in the world, bringing together politicians, celebrities, and money managers in Las Vegas.

Served as White House Communications Director for 11 days in July 2017 before being fired after a profanity-laced interview with The New Yorker. Sold SkyBridge to a Chinese conglomerate HNA Group in 2017, then bought it back in 2020 for a fraction of the price.

Launched SkyBridge's Bitcoin Fund in 2020, buying $310 million in Bitcoin. Went on a media blitz promoting crypto across CNBC, Fox Business, and every podcast that would have him.

Previously worked at Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers before starting Oscar Capital Management.

The SALT Conference is probably his most successful creation — it became the premier event for alternative investments, attracting thousands of attendees and generating millions in revenue. The 2020 Bitcoin buy at around $18,000 per coin was well-timed for the run to $69,000.

SkyBridge's early years were also strong, generating consistent returns by picking top-tier hedge fund managers.

The 2022 crypto crash hammered SkyBridge hard. FTX invested in a 30% stake of SkyBridge — and when FTX collapsed, Scaramucci had to scramble to buy that stake back.

He'd also publicly vouched for Sam Bankman-Fried, appearing on panels with him and calling him a "generational talent." That endorsement aged like milk left in the sun. The White House stint also qualifies — burning every political bridge in 11 days is its own kind of record.

Believes in being early and loud about big themes. "If you believe in something, put your money where your mouth is and then go on TV and talk about it." Thinks Bitcoin is digital gold and will eventually hit $500,000.

Embraces controversy as a marketing tool. His philosophy is essentially: conviction plus volume equals influence.

Married to Deidre Ball (second marriage). Has five children.

His first wife filed for divorce during his 11-day White House tenure, though they later reconciled briefly. Grew up in a working-class Italian-American family in Port Washington, Long Island.
