STEWARDSHIP

God has a plan for my wealth. I am merely a steward.

My father built the business. My job is to make sure my grandchildren can still be proud of it.

Wealth is a temporary custodianship. We are stewards, not owners. The Giving Pledge is simply an acknowledgment of that fact.

Heineken is not just a brand. It is a family story that stretches back over 150 years, and our responsibility is to ensure it continues.

My grandfather built this from nothing. My father grew it into something remarkable. The responsibility now is to not diminish what they built.

For me personally, this brings great joy and satisfaction, because I understand that the Earth's gifts are finite, and we are entrusted with the responsibility to use them wisely.

Regardless of the size, we have to think as a universal owner.
